Kelly Juhasz, principal, fine art appraisal and services, and owner of Wall Fiction Gallery will help us understand what to look for when working with your client’s antiques, art, coins and other collectibles. Understanding value characteristics for art, antiques and other collectible personal property can be tricky as each category of items requires advanced knowledge. But there are some basic traits that you can arm yourself with to more easily assess what might hold significant value versus what doesn’t. Knowing who to call after your assessment of items will also allow you to offer more value to your clients.

Kelly Juhasz is an art advisor and a qualified appraiser specializing in fine art and antiques and an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers. She is the principal at Fine Art Appraisal and Services offering artist legacy services, collection management, estate planning for treasure assets, sales services and Canadian Cultural Property appraisals. She is the owner of Wall Fiction gallery, an online consignment gallery for fine art. Kelly is also the president of the Canadian Chapter of the International Society of Appraisers, a Canada-wide not-for-profit organization with over 50 qualified appraiser members in all specialties of personal property who are the most highly trained appraisers in Canada.
Kelly holds a Master of Information Studies, Archival Science from the University of Toronto and a BA (Hons), Art History from the University of Ottawa (partially completed at the University of Siena, Italy). She also holds a Master’s specialization in Knowledge Media Design, University of Toronto; a BA, Communications, University of Ottawa; and a Marketing Diploma from the Academy of Design. She sits on the Program Advisory Committee for the Fine Arts Studio program at Centennial College.
