Organizing belongings creates a pressure cooker of emotions in clients. Nervousness, crying, and anger are just a few strong emotions that arise. How do we, as Professional Organizers, support our clients as well as maintain a healthy environment for ourselves?
In this presentation, you learn early signs that your clients are experiencing strong emotions and language for responding to nervousness, crying, and anger. We’ll discuss ways to establish successful client relationships during the intake call, in the client agreement, at the beginning and end of client sessions, and when strong emotions unexpectedly bubble up during the organizing session.
Kate Varness, Principal of Green Light Organizing and Coaching, joins us from the US to share her expertise dealing with client emotions, especially those who are chronically disorganized.
