The North GTA chapter started in February 2007 and was established to serve the many members living and working north of the Greater Toronto Area. Our catchment area falls between Mavis Road in the west end, to Hwy 404 in the east, and from Steeles Avenue in the south, to Orillia and beyond (at this time) in the north.
Our Chapter includes the following regions/towns:
We work towards enhancing the status and public recognition of our members, as professional organizers by:
We encourage members to be actively involved, either as a chapter executive member, in a volunteer capacity, or as regular attendee. Imagine the benefits of active and wholehearted participation in a thriving and inspired Chapter!
Our meetings are casual but informative with a focus on how to advance your organizing business. Our objective is to support you, to inform you, and to inspire you; plan on interactive sessions, with opportunity for networking and fun! Bring your talents, your enthusiasm, and your questions because we will call upon you to share your knowledge and your challenges for the benefit of all members.
This year we have booked the King City Library, 1970 King Road, King City in York Region close to Hwy 400. The Library boasts a meeting room capacity of up to 50 people, WiFi access, and presentation equipment including DVD, projector or widescreen TV (both compatible with computer hook-ups), and projection screen.
We are also planning meetings that we refer to as 'field trips' where we visit a vendor or business relevant to Professional Organizing. Please take note of the location and directions listed on the actual event listing.
Meetings are free for POC members and $15 for non-members.
Guests are welcome and are encouraged to come out to meet members and learn about the organizing profession.
