About the Cyber Chapter
With the continued growth of the Professional Organizing industry across the country, the Cyber Chapter of POC offers an alternative to organizers that are not close enough to other organizers to meet face-to-face on a regular basis.
We offer our members a chance to meet virtually 10 times a year and one face-to-face social gathering at the National Conference. This is a great opportunity to not only learn the newest information in the organizing industry but to put faces with the voices you’ve heard all year!
The geographical challenge of our members makes having this network of other Professional Organizers to share ideas and business challenges with even more important. Our membership consists of both seasoned organizers and newbies who are open to information sharing and having fun. We currently have Organizers from NL, NB, PE, QC, ON, MB, SK, AB, BC, YT & WI, USA and always welcome new members.
Cyber Chapter Goals
- Develop a network of Professional Organizers from across Canada & the US
- Deliver informative, educational and inspirational meetings for the professional development of both new and experienced Professional Organizers by offering:

- Mentorship
- Conference Round-up (for those unable to attend)
- Some of last year’s topics include: Procrastination Prevention; Staging & Organizing; Marketing Strategies; Client Expectations & Assessments; Emergency Preparedness; Goal Setting
- New in 2012 we are implementing a “New Member” meeting to give new members to the chapter or that haven’t been participating in virtual meetings a chance to check in and find out what’s happening, how the calls work, ask questions and feel welcome. New members will be introduced to the others at the regular meeting.
Meeting Dates/Times
The last Tuesday evening of the month will be when the Cyber Chapter meetings will be held (except in October when the meeting will be held on the 23 since conference is on Nov 1 and people may be travelling on the final Tuesday of that month).
The time will remain unchanged from 2011 with the meeting taking place from 8:00 – 9:00 PM (20:00 – 21:00) Eastern Time. If you are unsure of your time zone please check here: http://wwp.pacific-standard-time.com/
Meetings are open to all POC members at no charge. Cyber Chapter members will automatically receive the monthly newsletter with meeting reminder. Only those that RSVP that they will be attending that month’s meeting will receive the meeting access information.
For non-cyber members please send an email to cyber@organizersincanada.com with the subject meeting call in info! Due to space limitations, preference will be given to the Cyber Chapter members for the calls.
